To be Thankful
November is here and with it comes many thoughts about the approaching Christmas season. It's hard to be present each day as we are besieged with the buildup of the Christmas season ahead. So for this reason, I have decided this year to work on changing my outlook and thoughts during the month of November.
This is a month of many shifts. As the season is shifting here in the NorthEast, we start spending more time indoors, more time reflecting and hopefully more time thinking about all that we have to be thankful for. While December is the month of the Advent, I like to think of November as the month of being thankful.
There are many programs to help me stay on track, and this year I will reference the OuterSparkle 30-day challenge to help me achieve this goal.
EX: Day 1: I am thankful for all those near and far who have made me the person I am. Every time I think of you.
The Thanksgiving feast is a culmination of thoughts all around giving thanks for each other, our families, health, and our friends. I am working this year to keep that top of mind.
Do you have a daily journal or prompt for being thankful? I would love to have you share an app, printed journal or even an email service that helps you stay "Thankful" for the month of November.
In the meantime, enjoy this stroll in the park, Central Park, New York City.
