Here it is! I am so excited to share with you an article I recently penned for one of my favorite Blogging resources, iBlog magazine. In this article I shared my approach to creating and maintaining community as Editor of BlissfullyDomestic.com, a community of over 10K email subscribers and up to 210k UMV readers.

You can't be afraid to ask for help. It is your friends and your community that will become your best resource for growth and focus. The most exciting moments come from collaboration. Attending a conference, and blog tour or participating in an online community is must have for bloggers. Knowing that there is someone who is working on the same questions and struggles as you. As I grow in my business, these are the relationships have given me moments of strength and insight to continue with my online presence while also managing a design business.
While this is an article about creating community it is also the story of creating a profitable site. The keyword is, engagement. You cannot have one without the other.

The message is to switch from focusing on getting the traffic to your blog. You need to focus on creating community with your social networks to engage with readers and peers to build community.
ENGAGEMENT is the new game. Google likes it, Facebook likes it and soon sponsors will not just ask for your following numbers, they will also ask for your engagement numbers on each platform.
