All the TV Shows Im Loving Lately - dvd Interior Design

I watch more TV (and movies too) than I read lately, so I wanted to start doing regular posts with everything I love and watch. While I do read Barrons, my Sunday NYTimes, and the New Yorker, it’s television at the end of a long day that I seek a good series or movie.

So here is everything on TV I’ve been enjoying over the past four or five months.

2023- Top of my list if you haven’t SEEN yet:

A few shows on Netflix:

  • Suits

  • A Man Called Otto , and yes he is a grump, but you will find out why. It’s a touching story that you will love.

  • The Lincoln Lawyer, Netflix - I did love the original with Matthew McConaughey and Marisa Tomey, but this 2022 series with the handsome Manuel Garcia-Fufelo has me hooked to watch too! Part Two will debut on August 3, 2023.

  • Pieces of Her ( thriller) season 2 dropping in late 2023,

  • The Split: 'The Split' a British TV Series explores modern marriage and the legacy of divorce seen through the lens of the Defoes. Get on Hulu and Disney+ a fave….

COWSPIRACY - What is the best way to conserve water and why isn’t anyone telling us? Big thanks to Leonardo DiCaprio, who funded this docu after the Livestock Assoc. and big businesses tried to shut it down. Changed my view on what is happening.

THE GREAT HACK “ Information technology and what you don’t know. OMG, I thought I knew what happened in 2016, yet this was such an eye-opener. do you know who Cambridge Analytica is and what they did? Find out,

2023 Humor

-TED LASSO: ( AppleTV) Season 3 Try not to binge-watch this one if you can! Yes, I mention this show above, but it a a fave because it has been a go-to show for me to laugh at. TV SHOWS I’VE BEEN LOVING

My LATEST WATCHLIST and A FEW OTHER DELIGHTS

2022- Documentaries

The Beatles” ( Disney+ ) This was a great view into this famous group of musicians, and an inside look at how this team works together, and the creative process. A newfound appreciation for John Lennon and Paul McCartney and the creative mastermind they had together.

“ Fantastic Fungi” on Netflix

COWSPIRACY” ( what is the best way to conserve water and why isn’t anyone telling us? Big thanks to Leonardo DiCaprio, who funded this docu after the Livestock Assoc. and big businesses tried to shut it down. Changed my view on what is happening.

THE GREAT HACK “ Information technology and what you don’t know. OMG, I thought I knew what happened in 2016, yet this was such an eye-opener. do you know who Cambridge Analytica is and what they did? Find out,

Modern Masters Eero Saarinen “ This was a PBS special that is now available on Amazon Prime. Perfect for design lovers.

Ugly Delicious” along with “Chefs Table”, a full-depth series of short stories about people changing how we eat has taught me more about the curse and the beauty of being an outlier.

ABSTRACT, the art of design” you will meet six of the world’s most famous artists.

The Game Changers: documentary streaming now. My son Cory, the athlete, recommended this and I am so glad we watched it. Always looking to understand the best healthy eating for my family, and I the FOODIE, learned a few things I thought I knew already. It was eye-opening.

2022 Humor

TED LASSO: ( AppleTV) Try not to binge-watch this one if you can! This has been a go-to show for me this month. You will laugh out loud. I tend to watch TV rather quietly but I actually laughed out loud during the first few episodes, and my husband was asking what I was watching.

SHITTS CREEK (Netflix) after watching a lot of TED Talks, I was so happy to find this funny sitcom series for a fun evening diversion before I go to bed. I was so excited when Season 6 dropped! I enjoyed this show for some comedic relief before I go to sleep that is much needed these days.

CATASTROPHE (TV SERIES) Was on HBO, and now on Amazon Prime. American man Rob gets Irish woman Sharon pregnant when they hook up for a week while he is on a business trip in London. If you haven’t seen Sarah Horgan yet, you will not forget her after this. She is fun.

2022 Drama Series

THE PINE GAP: (Netflix Series) OMG, watch this before the Philippines, and China forces the whole series to be removed. ( WSJ report)

THE WHITE LOTUS: The White Lotus was one of my favorite TV shows of the whole summer. It’s a satire. It really highlights white privilege and how awful American travelers can be when visiting a new city. It was funny, in a satirical sense. An amazing cast in great characters with a final twist that surprises you. It’s uncomfortable to watch because human nature is on full display, but I can’t recommend it enough. I’m looking forward to the next set of vacationers to the resort.

THE MORNING SHOW ( the movie) The tragedy of FOX News.

THE MORNING SHOW ( the tv series) Such a great series. Well written and what a cast (Jennifer Aniston + Reese Witherspoon as the headliner. Another view of the darker side of the TV industry, and with deep characters who pull you into their lives. Dive in, you will be surprised where it goes. Can’t wait for next season. Im crushing on Cory too.

9 PERFECT STRANGERS: watch this and fantastic fungi, and understand the shift in the medical society today and the big buzz on blue zones.

Two Popes” Comrades and competitors.

Not yet seen, but recommended to me: “ Mindhunters” , Bling Ring, YOUNGER, A FALL FROM GRACE, THE PHARMACIST, HACKS (humor) , The Other Two…….

2022 THRILLERS - WHO DONE IT?

TRUTH BE TOLD(Apple TV) I absolutely loved the first and second seasons. another binge-watch. Octavia Spencer is a joy to watch as she plays a former journalist turned true-crime podcast host. The plot is so twisty and good, and Kate Hudson is the perfect opposite to Octavia. we also get a peek at Aaron Paul and Lizzie Kaplan.

WATCH LIST on YOUTUBE,

Some of my favorites are:

Dr. Joe Dispenza: I have had some recent health issues this year, and Dr. Joe Dispenza is teaching me how to rise above my illness, and my past. It taught me how to be present today, in gratefulness, present at the moment, and feel whole.

Mark Hyman, MD: The Doctors FARMACY
