Hi there my design diva, I am here with new shopping resources I think you will like. Welcome back to my Journal and highlights from my Weekly Obsessions.
My favorite season of the year is summer because of the warm weather, the school vacation, and the endless fun. I really enjoy the warm weather because it’s time for summer dresses and time to relax at the beach. I’m searching for the perfect beach/ pool updates like this set of 4 Towels and this Tote.. But, as summer ends, this August ( only 4 weeks away) we will be moving 3 of our boys, to 3 different states, into their new homes away from home this Fall! and they need things!
So this week I am focusing on creating affordable living spaces that are still chic. We want our children to settle into their new places and have what they need so they can focus on their studies or work. As an interior designer, I know your organization, comfort, and pride in your living environment can affect your mood on a daily basis, but getting all the stuff that is needed for each to start their new home can cause a little anxiety when you begin to add it all up. ( then don’t add it up, Deb )

I was seduced into exploring this latest Target collection by a cool accent chair in cream boucle that was a great dupe for an expensive chair I had seen and lusted after at High Point Market last Spring.
Then I found this affordable yet stylish desk and lamp. I bought 2 of these X stools for bedrooms or living rooms, and the latest crave, an air fryer, on sale I like THIS, THIS, and THIS.
I was further seduced by this chair and before I knew it I was creating a mood board for a living room.
Great style and affordable pieces that will make any living room or dorm room pretty fabulous.

I hope you enjoyed this post on affordable furniture for your first apartment or college dorm! The weather is so nice today, I'm planning on getting out of the house for a walk and then coming back to make some gnocchi with tomatoes from my garden. Summer is our favorite time to cook, and we love using our harvest from the garden.
