Many people will ask me, WHY SHOULD I ATTEND THE DESIGN INFLUENCERS CONFERENCE?

The relationship between traditional media and digital media is important for propelling your business forward and connecting with potential clients. This relationship is instrumental for creating your brand message and promoting the industry, by offering trend reports, new product introductions, installations, and business news. We share insight to attract clients and elevate our industry.

I started this trip as a tourist. How can you visit San Francisco, and not visit the city and all its beauty? It is an amazing place to live. I would move there in a heartbeat given the opportunity.

VISITING A GREAT CITY

A visit to San Francisco is not complete without a stop at Lombard Street. The most crooked street, and a fun drive when in town. It’s a fun memory for young and older alike. I will always remember my visit with my fellow decor blogger and friend, Laurel Bern. I was super windy and our hair was all over, so no pictures of us.

I’m Back From The DI 2020 Conference and here is what happened.

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

- Albert Einstein.

Real Life. Real Connections for Interior Designers and Decor Bloggers.

WHY I ATTEND

This is my personal perspective. I attend this conference to build new business relationships, face-to-face meetings always beat online interactions. You cannot do the same thing over and over and expect different results. Getting out from behind my desk, meeting with designers all across the nation, sharing what is working what to consider, is all the difference in my business acuity and planning for the future.

Making friends: L- Chatting with my friends from High Point Market, Tim Green, of Tim Green Interiors, Atlanta, GA., and Lisa Peck of LiLu Interiors from Minneapolis, Minnesota. I meet these two lovelies at High Point Market, and so enjoyed catching up with them here at the conference. We’re always sharing ideas and best practices for business. Tim visited NY recently completed a table at the New York Botanical Gardens for the annual fundraiser, the orchid show. It was great to see in there as well.

“Let’s live with the stuff that delights and replenishes our senses, the stuff that is filled with totems and memories that represent the chapters of our life, that are written through the things we surround ourselves with.” - Nate Berkus

Nate Berkus was truly a hit at the Conference this year. His inspirations for the design of interiors and products that are relevant and meaningful to individuals. Gathering inspirations, from travel and life lessons were relatable and grounded. This really resonated with me.

Interior Design Mentoring Communities for support and friendships are always a welcomed plus…

SPEED MENTORING QUICK SESSIONS: dvd Interior Design returns to host the VIP Morning Mentoring Sessions.

( How to get more leads and clients on autopilot, how to build on social media and online activation. )

A few weeks back, my design mastermind team and I put on a live Morning Mentoring Session Bootcamp on 3 types of social building to our design businesses and to build relationships with each other, our fellow influencer design community. Over 100 social entrepreneurs and designers signed up for it and the reviews we got were incredible.

Jana Phipps, Jeanne Chung , Carla Aston, and Laurle Bern

Testimonials: Alright you guys, this conference has been goood. I can’t overstate the importance of face-to-face networking in this day and age. Hearing from design idols in IRL and not just their IG stories, being pushed as a business owner to think differently. I’m coming back with new ideas, new motivations and let’s be honest (some new clothes too). 😉 Can’t wait to implement the NEW and excitement with this team! #centeredbydesign - team photo by: @linacaro (who I can’t recommend enough and is moving to the west coast!) #designinfluencerscon @designinfluencersconference

Throughout this 2 day event, our attendees participated in hands-on lessons and workshops, discovering smart design strategies to up-level their skills and empower them to create more beauty in their homes and lives.

The bonus was an opportunity for interior designers from across the nation to be connected with a community of like-minded individuals, design professionals, all sharing their concerns, struggles, and suggestions on what has worked for them, a powerful design masterminding and plenty of Q&A!

Informative, inspiring, and rewarding! A picture s worth a million words
