It's always a pleasure to attend High Point Market in North Carolina, the furniture capital of the USA, and this Fall was even more enjoyable since I was invited to join the Design Bloggers Tour.

With an automotive design foundation, a love for color and mid-century design, we can see the foundational influence of this sculptor/designer's interests in each and every design.

Meet Annabella Bernhardt and the Annabella Lilly Table. This lovely young lady said they had named a sofa after a dog, so they HAD to name a piece after her! And it's a beautiful piece.

Performance Fabrics are changing our interiors. Sunbrella manufactures their own line of fabrics and that of many private labels. The colors are wonderful and the textures are soft and luxurious in the way they feel.

We were given a wonderful VIP Tour by the lovely Ms. Wear. There wasn't just one item that stood out at Century Furniture, but I was delighted by all the color, lush fabrics, and incredible price points in every vignette throughout their extensive collection. They shared with us "on trend" and beautiful a variety of classical collections from Windsor Smith to the widely previewed and whimsical outdoor collection designed by Thomas O'Brien.

Younger had a great lineup for High Point Market with a little mid-century vibe and quality fabrics in Crypton (performance fibers) in beautiful colors. We all had our favorites.
Hip and affordable were the main adjectives here. This is a trade only resource, but you can visit
for your local retailer.
We were delightfully introduced to the line by the gracious host, interior designer, and product designer, Barry Dixon.

A community is such an important thing that is often overlooked. Being part of a community is what made this tour a wonderful opportunity to not only see the latest trends and introductions but to also spend time with like-minded people in design, online media, and with a common goal of diversifying our businesses in the online media environment and in sharing our unique perspectives with you.
We forget that we are so much stronger together than on our own.

Holiday House New York. The 2017 Showhouse returns to the Academy Mansion on Manhattan’s Upper East Side November 15 - December 7th and will be open daily.
