October Mist is a silvery sage that is a great neutral, that goes with almost any color.
Every year paint companies choose a color that represents their thoughts on the year ahead, based on multiple factors like Art, and economic stability. These past couple of years we have seen a resurgence of earthen colors such as AGEAN TEAL 2021 COY, and this year is a continuation of our search for health and wellness at home and work, and a sense of respect for the renewed sense of self that nature provides.
6 Ways to Make Your Home More Colorful with October Mist

Consider bringing in one boldly colored accessory, fabric, or rug ( see above via Kelly Behun). It's often an easier way to incorporate bold colors without going over the top or making a costly mistake.

2. Use it as a Paint Color in smaller rooms, like this laundry room.
When you paint your walls or trim a green color like October Mist 1495, you may want to consider a warmer white, like Steam AF-15 to compliment the silvery sage color. It’s a beautiful color to go alongside October Mist on cabinetry, walls, or trim.

3. Use as an accent color. Great for a bedroom
Another way to add a dash of color is to try it on a piece of furniture in a bedroom, like this room by Gensler, as a subtle and pleasant accent. This room is bold in grey black and white, and the green sofa it a nice departure and a warm accent to this pallet.

October Mist is a perfect balance of green-gray and soft and chalky, this is a great neutral with earth tones. With the green base, it has a neutral ability when paired with other colors.
Trim color for October Mist?

The organic quality and conversation I am having with clients make this color the perfect color story for the kitchen, laundry, bedroom, or living room when used in different ways in each room.
Where are people renovating the most today? The Kitchen and Living Rooms! This color makes sense for 2022.

From the 2022 Pallet: A favorite color for the Front Door!
Wild Flower 2090-40 : Any red tone is a warm and welcoming color for your front door. These are some of my faves from the 2021 palette! The bronze hardware also adds some warmth. This is a great door color for a grey or white home.

Is Green Pretty? Do I like the hint of grey?
Yes, green works with the sum of other colors juxtaposed to it. October Mist, Green is a neutral color, it plays nicely with other colors. It could look great with earthy woods on floors and furniture, it also looks great with a darker cabinet. Then for your walls, I do also like Benjamin Moore: Steam the creamy white offered in this pallet.
It is also a great color with wood tones, from teak to birch, to mahogany.
It’s fun to see all the ways you can use this Color of the Year, however, it’s good to remember that it’s a trend; as a designer, I can show you how to use October Mist, or any of the 12 colors in this beautiful palette in a way that will bring peace and flow to your space for years to come.
